Job summary

Achieve Beyond is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to serve Fairfax, VA in a clinic setting working with pediatric clients. You will perform evaluations and ongoing therapy, coordinating with families and other professionals to implement effective treatment plans.

The role emphasizes collaborative teamwork, adherence to high ethical standards, and flexible scheduling. VA licensure is required; prior experience with children is preferred, and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required or equivalent.
• VA state license to practice Speech Therapy must be possessed.
• 1–2 years of experience with children birth to 21 preferred; open to training new grads.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform developmental screening and speech therapy services.
• Educate families/caregivers on intervention strategies for home/community use.
• Work in clinic-based settings with potential home/community visits.
• Follow Individualized Service Plans and interpret goals to parents.

Come and join a team of passionate therapists providing excellent pediatric therapy. We specialize in conducting evaluations and providing ongoing services in homes, community, and clinic settings. We currently offer ABA, Speech, Occupational, Social Work, and Physical therapy as well as Special Education/SEIT services. We serve children and families in the metro New York area (all 5 boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley, Long Island and Albany), Virginia/DC area, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut and Delaware.

Job Responsibilities

• Work involves developmental screening/assessment, speech therapy services and consultation with family members and other professionals working with the family.
• Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings.
• Work is performed in clinic based settings
• Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interprets goals and treatment plan to parents and makes recommendations for further developmental assessments as needed
• Participate in monthly agency staff meeting
• Prepares progress reports at six month intervals and annual reviews
• Maintains client records and submit them to agency within established deadlines.
• Other duties assigned by immediate supervisor within scope of work.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• 1-2 years of experience working with children birth 21 is preferred, we are open to training new graduates
• Must possess VA state license to practice Speech Therapy
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to: Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.

$5,000 sign on bonus included for full-time

$2,000 sign on bonus included for part-time
