Job summary

Achieve Beyond in Nassau, NY is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Evaluator to support children birth to 21 in homes, clinics, and community settings. The role offers flexible scheduling and collaboration with a dedicated team of supervisors.

Qualified candidates will hold a NYS license as a Speech Language Pathologist, be self-motivated and team oriented; bilingual skills are a plus. Cases cover Nassau and Suffolk Counties, with a supportive work environment and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Demonstrates passion for working with children and families.
• Licensed NYS Speech Language Pathologist in good standing.

• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations for children birth to 21 in varied settings.
• Educate families on intervention strategies to support carry-over at home.
• Deliver services in homes, daycare centers, preschools, clinics, and community sites.
• Follow therapy plans, document progress, and plan ongoing treatment.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and laws.
• Submit required records within established timelines.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• NYS Licensed Speech Language Pathologist
• Must be self‑motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate

Per evaluation $130- $250/ hourly $$60- $70

Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the Speech Language Pathologist Evaluator Job interview process.
