Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current New Jersey SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Knowledge of child development and family-centered intervention.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and developmental evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans through the IFSP process.
  • Utilize evidence-based intervention strategies to address communication needs.
  • Monitor progress toward IFSP goals and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Coach and support parents to promote communication development in daily routines.
  • Collaborate with OTs, PTs, developmental specialists, and service coordinators.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborative planning.
  • Maintain timely documentation and program records.
  • Ensure compliance with NJ Early Intervention regulations and policies.
  • Stay current with best practices through continuing education.
  • Travel throughout assigned service areas to provide community-based services.

Job Description
Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Early Intervention Program with developmental delays and communication disorders. This role is ideal for an SLP who is passionate about family-centered care and enjoys working in natural environments to help students develop communication, language, cognitive, feeding, and social interaction skills.

Working collaboratively with families and an interdisciplinary team, you will conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), provide evidence-based therapy, and empower caregivers with strategies that promote developmental success in everyday routines.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and developmental evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans through the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) process.
  • Utilize evidence-based intervention strategies to address communication, language, cognitive communication, and developmental needs.
  • Monitor progress toward IFSP goals and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Coach, educate, and support parents and caregivers to promote communication development in natural daily routines.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, developmental specialists, service coordinators, and other multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and collaborative care planning.
  • Maintain timely documentation, evaluations, treatment notes, and required program records.
  • Ensure compliance with New Jersey Early Intervention regulations, agency policies, and documentation standards.
  • Stay current with best practices through continuing education and professional development.
  • Travel throughout assigned service areas to provide community-based services.
Experience You'll Need
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current New Jersey Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Knowledge of child development, developmental milestones, and family-centered intervention.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
