Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college with three-hundred hours of supervised clinical experience in speech-language pathology or educational equivalence meeting NYS Licensure standards.
• Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology program.
• New York State License in Speech Pathology.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association is required at time of hire and must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• AS Se in the examination of persons with speech and language disorders and the determination of etiology, history and severity through interviewing and testing.
• Assist in assessment, evaluation, analysis and treatment of communicative disorders and related predicating diseases.
• Complete all required documentation for patient care and reimbursement and ensure medical chart documentation meets guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences and committees as assigned.
• Develop and implement discharge plans with patient, care partners and care team.
• Provide patient contact productivity as indicated by unit procedures and reports.
