Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is seeking a Speech Therapist (SLP) to help patients improve communication, cognitive and swallowing abilities through evidence-based care within a collaborative rehabilitation team.

You will evaluate, treat, and document patient progress, educate families on goals and home strategies, and coordinate with physicians and nurses to ensure smooth transitions and high-quality, patient-centered care in Cypress, TX.

Qualifications

• Requires Texas SLP licensure and BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• One year of related experience and/or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Developing and adjusting individualized treatment plans.
• Documenting evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries.
• Educating patients and families on goals, safety recommendations, home strategies.
• Collaborating with physicians, nursing teams, and care managers to support coordinated care.
