Job summary

Western Slope Health Center in Placerville, CA is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (CF) to join our rehabilitation team. This entry-level opportunity offers mentorship, hands-on case exposure, and support as you launch your clinical career.

Under supervision, you will provide evidence-based speech therapy to residents, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with physicians, nursing, and families in a supportive skilled nursing environment.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Eligible for California Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow licensure.
• Eligible to complete Clinical Fellowship requirements for ASHA CCC-SLP.
• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire if required).

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based speech therapy services to residents under supervision.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
• Treat communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and rehab meetings.
• Educate residents and families on treatment strategies and home programs.
• Complete timely documentation in the EMR systems.
