Job summary

Ro Health is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work in a school setting within the Greater Manassas area, primarily at one site serving pre-k through 12th grade. The role is in-person, with a Monday–Friday schedule, and offers $30/hour+ for qualified SLPAs.

Qualifications

• Must have current VA state SLPA license in good standing.
• Must hold CPR/BLS certification.
• Relevant SLPA experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist SLPs with assessments and therapy for individuals of all ages.
• Use standardized tests, observations, and interviews for information collection for diagnosis.
• Implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide therapy for speech and language disorders.
• Counsel individuals and families on communication disorders.
• Train individuals in assistive technologies to enhance communication.
• Conduct screenings to identify those at risk and implement preventive measures.

Overview:

• Setting: in-person, school
• Schedule: M - F
• $30/hour+ for qualified SLPAs
• Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Assist SLPs while conducting assessments to evaluate speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages.
• Use standardized tests, observations, and interviews to gather information for diagnosis.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, setting specific and measurable goals tailored to the needs of each client.
• Provide therapy to individuals with speech and language disorders, including articulation disorders, fluency disorders, language delays, and language disorders.
• Provide counseling and support to individuals and their families, addressing emotional and social aspects of communication disorders
• Integrate and train individuals in the use of assistive technologies that can enhance communication and daily living
• Conduct screenings to identify individuals at risk for speech and language disorders and implement preventive measures

Qualifications:

• Relevant SLPA experience
• Current VA state SLPA license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• State and contract-specific compliance requirements
