Job summary

Proficio Therapy Services seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Livermore, CA. Under the supervision of a licensed SLP, you will support evaluation, treatment, and clinical activities of speech therapy to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in SLPA or related field, 1 year of verifiable SLPA experience, and a valid California SLPA license. Preference for pediatric experience and bilingual candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant/Communicative Disorders or a related field.
• 1 year of verifiable professional experience as an SLPA within the last 3 years (may include residency or practicum).
• Valid California License as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide therapeutic interventions that improve clients' communication abilities.
• Assist in implementing treatment plans for clients with speech and language disorders.
• Conduct speech and language screenings as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Document the client's progress toward treatment goals and report this information to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Provide direct therapy services to clients as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Prepare therapy materials and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
