Job summary

BlazerJobs is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a contract role in a school setting. The position is full-time 37.5 hours per week with flexible consideration for part-time schedules around 30 hours.

The assignment runs from August 11, 2026 to May 26, 2027, primarily at one school site with potential support for a second campus. The SLPA will work under SLP supervision, collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support IEPs and language goals for grades 6–12.

Qualifications

  • Active and valid SLPA license issued by the state.
  • Experience supporting speech-language services in a school setting preferred.
  • Willingness to complete required state fingerprinting and background check promptly.
  • Familiarity with secondary-level student needs (grades 6–12).
  • Collaborative approach to working with educators and families.
  • Disclosure required if you have ever been terminated from a school district.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language services under SLP supervision.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student IEPs and language goals.
  • Accurately document therapy sessions and progress.
  • Travel to a second site if needed, based on caseload demand.

Exciting opportunity for a talented Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) seeking a rewarding position in a dynamic school environment! This contract role offers full-time hours (37.5 hours/week), with flexible consideration for part-time schedules around 30 hours per week. The assignment begins August 11, 2026, running through May 26, 2027.

You’ll primarily serve one school site, with the possibility of supporting a second nearby campus, working with a secondary (middle/high school) student population and a manageable caseload averaging 80 students. The Director will thoughtfully assign your school site based on your location.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and valid SLPA license issued by the state
  • Experience supporting speech and language services in a school setting preferred
  • Willingness to complete required state fingerprinting and background check promptly
  • Familiarity with secondary-level student needs (grades 6–12)
  • Dedicated, flexible, and collaborative approach to working with educators and families
  • Must share if you have worked with this district before
  • Disclosure required if you have ever been terminated from a school district (an affidavit must be completed if so)
