This contract position runs through May 2027, with a full-time 35-hour workweek, delivering direct speech services to a diverse caseload under the supervision of a licensed SLP. You will document progress, collaborate with teachers and families, and ensure compliance with district and state requirements while supporting Preschool through Elementary students

Qualifications

• Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license.
• Minimum 2 years' SLPA experience, including at least 6 months in a school setting.
• Experience supporting Preschool through Elementary age and adapting to varied needs.
• Detail-oriented with credentialing and compliance requirements (fingerprinting, AHCA verification).
• Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and adapt to diverse learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to assigned caseload aligned with IEP goals.
• Implement therapy plans under supervision of a licensed SLP across elementary sites.
• Accurately document session notes and progress data.
• Collaborate with educators and families to promote student success and communication skills generalization.

Job description

Make a meaningful difference in students lives by serving as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in a supportive school setting near Jacksonville, FL. This is a contract position running through the end of May 2027, offering a stable, full-time schedule (35 hours per week, 7 hours per day). You will work on-site, joining an established team and supporting a caseload of diverse students by delivering direct speech services tailored to their needs.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an SLPA, including at least 6 months in a school-based setting
• Expertise in supporting students Preschool through Elementary age, with the ability to adapt to wide-ranging speech and language needs
• Detail-oriented and organized, ensuring all credentialing and compliance requirements are met (including fingerprinting and AHCA Clearinghouse verification)
• Able to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and adapt to varied learning environments, including those serving students with severe needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to assigned caseload in accordance with students IEP goals
• Implement therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP, tailoring support to individual students across designated elementary sites
• Accurately document session notes, progress, and relevant data
• Collaborate with educators and families to promote student success and generalization of communication skills
• Comply with federal, state, and school district regulations and protocols
