Job summary

Kindering Center in Bellevue, WA is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (Master’s required) to provide evaluative, therapeutic, and consultative services for children with speech, language, feeding, cognitive, or hearing needs.

You will work with a dedicated Early Supports team, design individualized treatment plans, and coordinate with families and providers in natural environments. The position offers full- or part-time hours, a competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Job Location: Kindering Bellevue - Bellevue, WA 98008, Position Type: Open to Full-Time or Part-Time, Education Level: Graduate Degree / Masters, Salary Range: $72,000.00 - $117,000.00 Salary, Travel Percentage: Frequent Travel Required, Job Shift: Day Shift, Purpose

This role is designed to support our Early Supports team by providing evaluative, therapeutic, and consultative services for children who are delayed or disordered in speech, language, feeding, cognitive, and/or hearing abilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Work a variable schedule, as determined and mutually agreed upon by your direct supervisor based on Kindering’s needs
• Assess each child’s developmental level of functioning; conduct formal evaluations of performance as needed
• Participate in Individual Family Service Plan conferences in cooperation with Family Resource Coordinator
• Design and implement treatment plans in support of the child’s outcomes on the Individual Family Service Plan and provide services to the child and family in the natural environment
• Prepare progress reports; review medical reports; seek referral, consultation, and advice as necessary; and maintain accurate records of contact for each child
• Participate in the development of each child’s total program as part of the interdisciplinary team
• Design and/or assist in developing alternate communications systems, coach primary care givers in therapeutic interventions
• Make referrals to appropriate community or Kindering programs, support groups, and other services
• Provide or support outreach, intensive informing, care planning, coordination, anticipatory guidance for complex health needs, assistance to access services, consultation, resource development, interagency coordination, training, program planning, quality management, and administration to support Medicaid programs

Qualifications: Required Education & Experience

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology (in fulfillment of the requirements of the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association); eligible for Certificate of Clinical Compliance
• Valid Washington State professional license
• Experience working with children who have neuromuscular and developmental disorders
• Feeding therapy experience preferred
• Spanish fluency preferred

Key Competencies

• Family-Centered Service Delivery: Builds strong partnerships with families, provides therapeutic services in natural environments, and coaches caregivers to support child development and IFSP goals.
• Clinical Assessment & Intervention: Conducts developmental assessments, develops and implements individualized treatment plans, and monitors progress using evidence-based practices.
• Collaboration & Care Coordination: Partners effectively with interdisciplinary team members, coordinates referrals and resources, and ensures comprehensive support for children and families.

Minimum Prerequisites

• Possess a valid Washington State DOH SLP license or be in process of obtaining one
• Pass the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) criminal history and background check, as well as the FBI fingerprint check
• Strictly maintain the confidentiality of all client information in accordance with privacy regulations and organizational policies
• Demonstrate proficiency in word processing and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and Access
• Possess a valid Washington State driver's license and maintain valid automobile insurance coverage
• Have access to a dependable personal vehicle for transportation purposes
• Possess the physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds
• Provide documentation of a negative tuberculosis test result
• Provide proof of current immunizations, including COVID-19 and Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccines, or submit a titer test result demonstrating immunity*
