DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Speech‑Language Pathologist is responsible for assessing, identifying, and remediating expressive communication disorders.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess students referred for a possible speech and language disorder.
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
  • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
  • Provide reports of a student’s progress to parents.
  • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
EDUCATION
  • Master’s degree or higher.
CREDENTIAL
  • Valid credential authorizing services as a Speech‑Language Pathologist.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Valid California Speech Language Pathology Services Credential or Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential authorizing service in Language, Speech, and Hearing.
  • Copy of Transcript (All Undergraduate and Graduate coursework).
  • Credential Copy (Detailed screenshot from the CTC website or a credential status letter from your university with an anticipated completion date or proof of credential application. Credential must post by July 1, 2026).
  • Letter of Introduction.
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation – signed and dated within the last 24 months. Wet signatures or e‑signatures only; typed signatures will not be accepted. Letters from relatives are not acceptable.
