Job summary

Milestones Children’s Center invites a Speech Language Pathologist (CFY or CCC) to join our Pulaski, NY team. You will support speech, language and swallowing needs for toddlers and children 18 months to 5 years, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other specialists.

You will document progress in a paperless EHR and participate in SLP program development, with 80% time in direct care and 15% in program testing, plus 5% collaboration time.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders/Speech and Hearing Science required or equivalent.
• Licensed or eligible for NYS SLP license.
• Licensed or eligible for NYS Teacher Certification for TSLD or TSHH.
• Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary care team (SLP, SPED, PT/OT, School Psychologist).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a family-centered approach.
• Ability to adapt to changing care environments and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech, language, and swallowing care for toddlers and children aged 18 months to 5 years (80% time).
• Collaborate with care team members and document in the electronic health record system.
• Guide SLP workflows and participate in program testing and iteration (15% time).
• Attend team meetings and participate in a mentorship-oriented environment (5% time).
• Support and participate in Milestones' CFY/CCC mentorship and growth opportunities.

Choose fromschool-based preschool and childcare centers across Central, NewYork, including in East Syracuse, Baldwinsville, Fulton,Oswego, Camillus, Pulaski, and Watertown. Travelingitinerant home positions are also available in full time orpart time.

About the Speech Language Pathologist Role

Weare on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist to join ourpreschool team. In this role, you will work with our phenomenal teamof Special Education Teachers, Certified Lead Preschool Teachers,Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, School Psychologist, andCertified Teacher Assistants to support the children in our care.

Provide exceptional care: support anddevelop the speech, language, and swallowing needs fortoddlers and children, ages 18 months to 5 years. (80% time)

• Support all aspects of each preschool child'streatment by collaborating with other care team membersincluding Special Education Teachers, PTs, OTs, and SchoolPsychologist.
• Document your work including sessionnotes, care plans and ongoing progresswith high levels of accuracy andtimeliness in our paperless electronic healthrecord system.

Support innovation and growth: provideinstrumental guidance on our SLP workflows and tools to helpus improve and grow. (15% time)

• Engage in testing, iterating and feedback to helpdevelop our SLP programing.
• Maintain your NYS SLP license and Speech TeacherCertification to continue to support families that trust us withtheir child’s care.

Collaborate with your peers: come tocare team meetings ready to learn, teach, andcommunicate. (5% time)
