Job summary

HealthPro Heritage in Urbana, IL is seeking a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join a collaborative therapy team in a senior living setting. The role offers a wage range of $50–$55 per hour with approximately 5 hours per week and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, implementing therapies, and documenting progress. Licensure or eligibility, and ASHA CCC accreditation are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification is required or current state licensure as SLP.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, voice, and swallowing; develop diagnoses from results.
• Deliver evidence-based therapies; monitor and adapt treatment plans for patients.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress, and plans in the health record.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
• Treatment and Education: Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
• Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
• Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
