Job summary

Stepping Stone Kids Therapy is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat pediatric speech, language, feeding, and swallowing disorders. You will develop individualized plans of care and deliver evidence-based, play-based therapy in a multidisciplinary clinic.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Florida SLP license in good standing.
  • CCC-SLP preferred; CFs encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat pediatric speech, language, feeding and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop individualized plans of care based on evidence-based practice.
  • Provide play-based therapy to support communication and language goals.
  • Complete evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries timely.
  • Supervise SLPAs per Florida law and ASHA guidelines when applicable.
  • Educate parents/caregivers to promote carryover at home.
  • Collaborate with therapists, physicians, schools, and other professionals.

What You'll Do
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat pediatric speech, language, communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop individualized plans of care based on evidence-based practice and each child's unique needs.
  • Provide engaging, play-based therapy to support communication, articulation, receptive and expressive language, social communication, fluency, voice, feeding, and swallowing goals.
  • Complete evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, reassessments, daily documentation, and discharge summaries in a timely manner.
  • Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) in accordance with Florida law and ASHA guidelines, when applicable.
  • Educate and train parents and caregivers to promote carryover of therapy goals into the home environment.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), physicians, schools, and other professionals involved in each child's care.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid requirements, company policies, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Maintain productivity and documentation standards established by the organization.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and family-centered approach to care.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, ethical, and evidence-based pediatric care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pediatric speech-language therapy experience.
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
  • Experience with AAC devices, feeding therapy, and oral motor disorders is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid documentation requirements.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move throughout the clinic while providing therapy services.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and actively engage with pediatric clients throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely lift or assist children weighing up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to participate in floor play, movement-based therapy activities, and feeding interventions as appropriate.
