Easter Seals Southwest Florida, Inc. is seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to support therapy services for both children and adults.
Working under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will deliver direct treatment, help implement plans of care, and document progress to help clients improve daily communication skills. Requirements include at least one year of SLPA experience, a Bachelor's in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Provides the Speech and Language treatment of the clients to develop, recover, or maintain their daily living and work skills, focusing on adapting the environment, modifying a task, teaching a skill, and educating the client/family to help the client increase participation in and performance of daily activities.
Experience: A minimum of one year experience as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant. Have a working knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)—preferred experience working with children and adults.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
Physical Demands: The ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, equipment, and/or clients. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout the day. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
