Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona (UCP) is seeking a dedicated full-time Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for our North Phoenix Clinic. The role offers a 32-hour or 40-hour work week, with a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will evaluate language development in children with cerebral palsy, autism, feeding disorders, and developmental delays, and develop individualized plans to help them reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required, renewals up to date.
  • Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate language development and identify communication needs for pediatric clients.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to support children’s communication, feeding, and participation.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy and collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
  • Engage families in goal setting and progress review to support carryover at home and school.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A UCP SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

As a UCP Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with children with cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, pediatric feeding disorders, sensory processing challenges, genetic disorders, developmental delays, in‑utero substance exposure, and many other diagnoses that impact communication and participation in daily life. You will evaluate language development, identify communication needs, and develop individualized treatment plans to help children achieve their fullest potential. You may work with children experiencing childhood apraxia of speech, speech sound disorders, fluency disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, feeding challenges, and communication disorders.

Whether you already have experience in Feeding Therapy or AAC, or are looking to grow your expertise in these specialty areas, UCP offers unique opportunities for clinical development and specialization.
