Job summary

Bond Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a Bronx location. You will evaluate patients, identify therapy needs, and provide rehabilitative services as ordered by a physician. Use equipment to maximize speech and language outcomes and mentor families in treatment protocols.

Requirements include a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, NY license or eligibility, and CCC-SLP or eligibility. Prior healthcare experience with developmental delays is preferred; dysphagia and AAC

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current NY State license or eligibility to obtain one.
• CCC-SLP certification or eligibility required.
• Meets education and experience requirements for CCC in Speech-Language Pathology.
• One year of Speech Therapy experience in healthcare with developmental delays preferred.
• Dysphagia experience considered a big plus.
• AAC experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Clinical supervision provided as needed.
• Abide by interns’ clinical affiliation agreement.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises patients, families, and caregivers in exercise regimens.

• Participates in scheduled supervision.

Job description

Speech Therapist Needed - Bronx Location

Productivity Standard:

• Evaluates and identifies the speech therapy needs of the PWS and provides Speech and Language Habilitation/Rehabilitation services for the patient as ordered by a physician.
• Treats PWS with disabilities, disorders, and injuries related to the area of Speech-Language Pathology.
• Makes use of therapeutic devices and other equipment to maintain or restore maximum performance of speech and language modalities.
• Plans, directs and supervises PWS, family and/or significant other in the use of equipment and exercise regimen.
• Participates in patient communication and interdisciplinary care planning for individual patient needs.
• Contemporaneous documentation using electronic health records
• Meet productivity expectation
• Participate in scheduled supervision

Required skills:

• Master's degree
• Current SLP New York State License or qualifies for receiving license after completing all requirements
• Current Certificate of Clinical completion in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association or qualifies for receiving certificate after completing all requirements
• Meets the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology
• A minimum of one year Speech Therapy experience in a health care setting working with individuals with Developmental Delays preferred.
• Dysphagia experience, a big plus
• AAC experience strongly preferred but not required
• Clinical supervision as needed.
• Abide by the clinical affiliation agreement for interns
