Job summary

Achieve Beyond in Bronx, NY seeks a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to provide pediatric therapy services in homes, schools, and clinics. You will evaluate children birth to 21, educate families on interventions, and tailor plans to each child’s needs with flexible scheduling to fit your life.

We value teamwork, ethical practice, and ongoing supervision from a supportive clinical staff. NYS licensure is required, and bilingual skills are a plus.

  • Must be a NYS Licensed Speech Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children birth–21 years in natural settings.
  • Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate involvement.
  • Work in homes, daycare centers, preschools, clinics, and community settings.
  • Follow therapy plans, monitor progress, and document outcomes.
  • Prepare progress reports and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and laws.

Job Responsibilities For a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth 21 years in a natural setting.
  • Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
  • Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
  • Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
  • Prepare progress reports as indicated.
  • Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.
Requirements For a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Must have a passion for working with children and families!
  • NYS Licensed Speech Language Pathologist
  • Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
  • Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
  • Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
  • The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
  • The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.
Starting Rate: Per evaluation $135-$190/ hourly $66-120 Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the Speech Language Pathologist Job interview process. Clinical Fellowship Year positions are available as well! Job responsibilities subject to change. This job description is subject to change at any time.
