Job summary

Always Best Care of Greater Cleveland is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our community-based therapy team in Ohio. You will assess, treat, and tailor plans to enhance communication, swallowing, and quality of life for patients in their homes.

You’ll work with families and care teams to promote independence and safe, functional outcomes, using AAC and assistive devices when appropriate. A compassionate, collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• CCC-SLP credential or eligibility required.
• Active Ohio SLP license or eligibility for licensure through CFY required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized speech, language, communication, and swallowing treatment plans.
• Provide hands-on therapy to improve communication, articulation, cognition, oral motor skills, and swallowing function.
• Help patients reach meaningful goals and maximize independence at home and in the community.
• Recommend and support AAC, assistive technology, and communication devices when appropriate.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.

Compensation Details:

• Mileage is paid at $0.43 per mile. Milage is not paid on travel for the first or last visit of your workday. Speech therapy regular visit pays $65 a point. Speech Therapy Evaluations pay 53.33 per point. OASIS assessments pay $45 per point.

• OASIS Discharge is 1.56 points per visit

• OASIS Non-Billable Discharge is 0.45 points per assessment

• OASIS Recertification 1.56 points per visit

• ST Discharge 1.5 points per visit

• ST Resumption 1.5 points per visit

• ST SOC 1.5 points per visit

• ST treatment visits 1 point per visit

• ST Recertification 1.5 points per visit

• OASIS Resumption 2 points per visit

• OASIS start of care 2.5 points per visit

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized speech, language, communication, and swallowing treatment plans.

• Provide hands-on therapy to improve communication, articulation, cognition, oral motor skills, and swallowing function.

• Help patients reach meaningful goals and maximize their independence at home and in their communities.

• Recommend and support the use of AAC, assistive technology, and communication devices when appropriate.

• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Educate caregivers and care teams so progress continues beyond the therapy session.

• Monitor outcomes, adjust treatment plans, and document care thoroughly.

• Participate in discharge planning, quality assurance, and professional development.

• Bring creativity, compassion, and clinical expertise to every visit!

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

• Current CCC-SLP credential through ASHA, or eligibility to obtain it.

• Current Ohio SLP license or valid Type 10 certificate / eligibility for licensure through completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year.

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader care team.

• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

• A heart for working with individuals with complex physical, emotional, cognitive, and communication needs.

• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
