Job summary

Jabbergym in Hayward, CA is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide school-based therapy to K-12 students. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy while collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Clinical Fellows and licensed SLPs encouraged to apply.
  • DOJ/FBI Livescan background check and TB clearance required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct compliant formalized and dynamic assessments to determine educational eligibility and level of functioning.
  • Complete observations, evaluations, annual reviews, and triennial assessments.
  • Develop and maintain compliant IEPs and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Develop and coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members to support educational benefit.
  • Consult and collaborate with team members and families to maximize generalization of communication skills.
  • May oversee and support Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs), including supervision and professional development support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy notes, assessment data, and student progress.
  • Utilize research-based data collection and reporting practices.
  • Coordinate time off requests during school breaks to minimize disruption to student services.
