Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders in patients across ages, following the hospital's standards. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, documentation accuracy, and collaboration with the care team.
Qualified candidates have a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP certification, and CT licensure, with 1–2 years of clinical experience in a medical center.

Diagnoses, evaluates, treats, counsels patients with a wide variety of communication disorders and swallowing disorders. Provides appropriate care for patients served according to age, using procedures consistent with the scope and standards of practice.

EDUCATION
Master's degree in speech-language pathology.
EXPERIENCE
One (1) to two (2) years as a clinical speech language pathologist in a large medical center based practice preferred . Experience working with children and/or adults depending on the assigned setting. Clinical experience with a variety of diagnoses to include post-surgical, developmental, neurological, genetic, oncologic and traumatic.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech, Language, Hearing Association (includes nine months of supervised internship and a qualifying national examination); CT license; continuing educational units; computer literacy; excellent communication (aural/oral/writing) skills.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
Works in a typical office setting. May be required to work a flexible schedule. May be required to monitor radiation exposure with a film badge Moderate amount of sitting and walking with some stooping or bending.
