Job summary

Paycom is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to develop and implement a comprehensive school Speech Therapy Program. The role involves collaborating with a clinical team to coordinate interdisciplinary efforts, conducting evaluations, and determining treatment priorities for students with hearing impairment or articulation and language disorders.

The candidate will perform evaluations, schedule therapy services, and provide written progress reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
• New York State Certificate as Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the school Speech Therapy Program.
• Attend as a member of the Clinical Team to coordinate interdisciplinary efforts.
• Conduct evaluations to determine developmental levels and diagnose articulation, voice, fluency, and language disorders.
• Determine treatment priorities, scheduling and procedures for therapy services.
• Perform re-evaluations and provide written progress reports.
• Provide individual and small group therapy sessions.
• Maintain student records including attendance, IEP information, and discharge summaries.
• Develop and supervise classroom therapeutic programs for staff and parents.
• Consult with school personnel on recommendations.
• Maintain and utilize evaluative and therapeutic materials for the program.
• Participate in training programs and conduct in-service sessions.

Certificate as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities.ExperienceIt is preferred that the qualified applicant will have completed two (2) years of successful direct experience in a school setting.
