Job summary

Eleutheria in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide school-based therapy for K-12 students. You will assess, treat, and collaborate with teachers and families to support student communication and education access.

The role is full-time with a pay range of $85,000–$110,000 and a unique 10-month schedule with a steady 12-month paycheck, plus benefits and mentorship for new graduates.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• Clearances: DOJ/FBI Livescan background check. Must be eligible to work in the US.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities; knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs preferred.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Assessments & Evaluations: Conduct compliant, formalized and dynamic assessments to determine educational eligibility/level of functioning. Complete observations and evaluations, and manage annual and triennial reviews. Develop and maintain compliant IEPs and participate in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Treatment Planning: Develop and coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members to ensure educational benefit.
• Consultation & Instruction: Consult with team members, including families, to maximize generalization of target skill sets. May oversee and support SLPA, including monitoring supervision hours and promoting ongoing professional development.
• Data Collection & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, including therapy notes and assessment data, and use research-based data for monitoring and reporting.
• Time Off Management for Full-Time School Employees: Schedule time off during school breaks with supervisor approval.

Speech Language Pathologist Key Responsibilities:
