Job summary

Career Links in Washington is seeking a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a hospital-based rehabilitation team with a diverse caseload across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will evaluate and treat pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with communication, cognitive-communication, voice, language, and swallowing disorders, collaborating with physicians and therapists.

New graduates are welcome; Washington licensure or eligibility is required; CCC-SLP is preferred but

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Washington SLP license or eligibility to obtain prior to start date.
  • CCC-SLP certification (preferred but not required).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • New graduates and Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide skilled interventions for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and dysphagia disorders.
  • Perform clinical swallowing assessments and participate in instrumental evaluations as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital policies and state requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and home programs.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental programs.
  • Contribute to a positive, patient-centered care environment.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a collaborative hospital-based rehabilitation team in Washington. This position offers a diverse caseload across inpatient and outpatient settings, providing services to pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations with communication, cognitive, voice, language, and swallowing disorders.

Position Overview

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide evidence-based evaluation and treatment services to patients with a variety of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to help patients achieve optimal functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
  • Provide skilled intervention for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and dysphagia disorders.
  • Perform clinical swallowing assessments and participate in instrumental swallowing evaluations as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and Washington state requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, compensatory strategies, and home programs.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental programs.
  • Contribute to a positive, patient-centered care environment.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Washington Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the Washington State Department of Health, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date.
  • Clinical Fellows eligible for Washington licensure are encouraged to apply.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required.
  • Completion of supervised clinical training as required for Washington licensure.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and clinical skills.
  • Previous hospital, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, or dysphagia experience preferred but not required.
