QLI is seeking a passionate Speech and Life Skills Trainer (CNA) to join our team at the Omaha, NE campus. This on-site role focuses on empowering individuals recovering from spinal cord or brain injuries through speech and life skills support.

Responsibilities include weekly activity planning, coordinating with clinical teams, and providing hands-on training to enhance daily living and communication skills. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required; paid certification training available for the right candidate.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Annual flu vaccine is required during flu season.
• Full-time schedule: 40 hours/week, includes one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Tutor Carter with online high school classes and study skills (Mondays).
• Train with Jack at the fire training center to practice skills to return to work as a firefighter (Tuesdays).
• Assist Ashley in making snack bags for her 4-year-old son (Wednesdays).
• Drive Emily to Starbucks to practice speech strategies while ordering and conversing (Thursdays).
• Collaborate with John’s clinical and residential teams to envision life beyond QLI (Fridays).

Education And Certifications:

• Must be 18 years or older. (required)


• Certified as a Nursing Assistant (required). We will provide PAID certification training, for the right candidate.


• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Vaccination Requirements: Annual flu vaccine is required during flu season. If needed, we will provide vaccination at QLI, free of charge.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (includes one weekend day)
