Stepping Stones Therapy, Inc. is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to work under a supervising SLP in an outpatient pediatric clinic.

You will provide direct speech-language therapy services to children with communication, language, articulation, social-pragmatic, and feeding needs. Responsibilities include implementing therapy activities, preparing materials, collecting data, and documenting progress, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a child-friendly environment.

Qualifikationen

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Valid SLPA registration/license (per state requirements).
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
  • Ability to pass background check and TB clearance (as required).

Aufgaben

  • Prepare therapy materials and organize session activities in advance.

  • Maintain daily treatment notes and timely documentation.
  • Follow goals, behavior plans, and therapy protocols.
  • Collaborate with supervising SLP on progress and adjustments.
  • Communicate with parents/caregivers about session activities and carryover.
  • Maintain a child-friendly therapy environment and HIPAA/FERPA compliance.
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and supervision as required.

Jobbeschreibung

Stepping Stones Therapy, Inc., a leading pediatric private practice, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language therapy services to pediatric clients in an outpatient clinic setting. The SLPA supports the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based interventions for children with communication, language, articulation, social-pragmatic, and feeding-related needs, while maintaining compliance with state regulations and clinic policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to pediatric clients as outlined in the supervising SLP’s treatment plans
  • Implement therapy activities targeting:
    • Articulation and phonology
    • Receptive and expressive language
    • Pragmatic/social communication
    • Fluency and voice (as appropriate)
    • AAC support and carryover activities (when applicable)
  • Prepare therapy materials and organize session activities in advance
  • Collect objective data during therapy sessions and document progress accurately
  • Maintain daily treatment notes and submit documentation in a timely manner
  • Follow individualized goals, behavior plans, and therapy protocols established by the supervising SLP
  • Collaborate with supervising SLP regarding client progress, challenges, and goal adjustments
  • Communicate professionally with parents/caregivers regarding session activities and carryover strategies (within scope)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly therapy environment
  • Adhere to HIPAA, FERPA (when applicable), and clinic confidentiality standards
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions as required
Supervision & Scope of Practice
  • All services are provided under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • The SLPA does not:
    • Diagnose disorders
    • Interpret assessment results
    • Develop or modify treatment plans independently
    • Write evaluation or progress reports
  • Supervision will follow state and ASHA guidelines, including direct and indirect supervision requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Valid SLPA registration/license (per state requirements)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
  • Ability to pass background check and TB clearance (as required)
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in a pediatric outpatient or school-based setting
    • Familiarity with play-based therapy and child-led approaches
    • Experience supporting social skills groups or AAC users

      • Direct work with children ages preschool through adolescence
      • May include individual therapy sessions and small group therapy
      Compensation
      • $35 - $45 (part-time) Based On Experience
