Cheatham County is seeking a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work under a Speech and Language Pathologist's guidance. The SLPA will help supplement and enhance speech/language therapy services.
Key responsibilities include directing activities to develop pre-language skills, facilitating oral-motor control for speech, and using assistive technology for communication with students who have identified speech and language disorders.
This is a 10-month position located in Ashland City, Tennessee.
Under the direction and supervision of a Speech and Language Pathologist, the Speech and Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) assists in supplementing, enhancing, and extending speech/language therapy services by completing a variety of tasks such as, but not limited to:
