Job summary

Point Quest Group in Modesto, CA, is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) to provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. The role involves implementing IEPs, supporting classroom instruction, and promoting positive behavioral and academic outcomes.

The role welcomes substitute teachers for flexible opportunities and offers meaningful, student-centered work in a collaborative school environment.

Qualifications

• Must have California Mild/Moderate Disabilities credential or eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred.
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan background clearance and TB clearance as required by California.

Responsibilities

• Implement IEP goals through small group and individualized instruction.
• Support general education curriculum with accommodations and modifications.
• Assist with classroom behavior management using PBIS strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related services providers.
• Maintain documentation and support IEP compliance.
• Track and report student progress toward academic and behavioral goals.
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff.
• Support students with assistive technology and communication tools as needed.
