Job summary

Kent School District is seeking a SpEd Paraeducator for the Integrated Program (IP). This role operates under a K-12 salary schedule with step placement based on verified years of experience in an educational unit and annualized pay spread through August. Hours per day are averaged and may vary with student days.

Post-hire training will be provided by the Professional Development Team. Qualified candidates have an AA or higher, 72 college credits, and ParaPro score of 455+; alternatives exist if

Paraeducator Requirements:

• Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution
• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
  • If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate you will have the opporutnity to take the test prior to being formally hired into the role.

Post Hire Requirements:

Upon hire, paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through our KSD Professional Development Team.
