Job summary

Kent School District is seeking a paraeducator to support instructional programs in our classrooms. The role requires an AA degree or higher, 72 college credits, and passing the ParaPro assessment.

The position is a continuing contract with 6.5 hours per day, based on a 190-day KAP calendar, with hourly pay between $30.89 and $37.99. Salary is annualized and distributed through August.

Paraeducator Requirements

• Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution
• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.

• If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate you will have the opporutnity to take the test prior to being formally hired into the role.

Post Hire Requirements

Upon hire, paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through our KSD Professional Development Team.
