Job summary

Kent School District is seeking paraeducators to support classrooms under the KAP calendar. The role is scheduled for an average 6.5 hours per day across a 190-day year, with pay starting at $30.89 and increasing through the KAP steps based on verified experience in an educational setting.

Benefits are provided; post-hire training will be offered. Successful candidates will meet AA degree or higher, 72 college credits, ParaPro score 455+, and high school completion or equivalent.

Paraeducator Requirements

• Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution
• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.

If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate you will have the opportunity to take the test prior to being formally hired into the role.

Post Hire Requirements:

Upon hire, paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through our KSD Professional Development Team.
