Purpose

The SPED Paraeducator assists the Instructor in creating a positive learning environment to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. To accomplish these tasks, the Paraeducator works closely with staff and administration of the District.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 48 college credit hours, obtained an associate’s (or higher) degree; or passed the Para Praxis Test.

• Knowledge of the operation of various office machines.
• Desire to continue career improvement by enhancing skills and job performance.
