Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a SPED teacher to serve K-12 students needing additional supports. SESI partners with districts to run in-district classrooms and standalone schools within a nationwide network.

The role features smaller class sizes, data-driven instruction through SESI’s CASE PBIS framework, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, 401(k) with employer match, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; valid teaching certification preferred.
• Commitment to learning and implementing feedback.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence, and provide individualized attention.
• Use assessment data to modify short- and long-term plans to promote student progress.
• Develop and maintain skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Collaborate with team members to foster critical thinking and academic rigor.
• Apply school’s behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management when needed.
• Drive, record, and track student growth toward goals; maintain forms and files.
• Participate in daily school activities and meetings.
