• Diapering, feeding, potty training, hygiene.
• Full-time supervision of students.
• Complete paperwork as requested by teachers.
• Escort students to and from buses.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Special Education experience preferred.
• Valid Fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ DPS.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with students,staff and the public .
• Master Teacher’s ParaEducator Certificate

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB GOAL: To contribute to effective school/public relations by prompt and courteous handling of all inquiries with students, staff and the public. Promote a positive, uplifting atmosphere for our school.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Life Skills (including dealing with female/male puberty).
• Nursing/keeping medications schedules, watching for signs of seizures and proper use of medical equipment.
• Safety of Medically fragile children.
• Communication and cooperation with general education teachers and parents.
• Sign Language
• Diapering, feeding, potty training, hygiene.
• Full time supervision of students.
• Paperwork/documentation as requested by teachers.
• Escorting students to and from the buses.
• Other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 month position, 35 hours per week .

EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the Governing Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
