Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Specimen Technician I in Brick, NJ. This hospital-based role at Ocean requires strong organization and attention to detail as you prepare specimens for analysis and manage data entry for test orders.

The position may require night shifts, weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime with potential shift differentials. No prior experience is required, but a production or medical environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of test orders, presort, pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory, centrifugation and aliquoting.
• Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities.
• Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing.
• Identifies problems and, in some cases, may resolve issues with specimen types such as missing information.
• Understands the relationship between tests ordered and specimen received.

Specimen Technician I - Brick, NJ, On-Call

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Specimen Technician I in Brick, NJ. This role is a hospital-based position at Ocean. Do you have strong organization skills and attention to detail? Pay range

$17.20 - $23.39 / hour; employee may be eligible to receive shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on second shift and 15% for some or all hours worked on third shift. Additional details on shift differential will be provided if an offer is extended.

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

On-call Employees Are Eligible For
