Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I to join our Hillside, IL team. This role handles clinical specimens, prepares them for analysis, and ensures accurate labeling and documentation. You will contribute to efficient specimen flow and timely data entry in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED and may involve lifting up to 40lbs, with opportunities to grow within a global diagnostics leader. Monday–Friday schedule is provided with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
