Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I for Tucker, GA. Work schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00pm–4:30am with rotating weekends and Holidays. Responsibilities include preparing specimens, labeling, routing, packing, data entry, and meeting production goals.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and may prefer 1+ year in a lab setting. Physical stamina for lifting up to 40 lbs and color vision tests are part of the standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas

• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Tucker, GA

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00pm - 4:30am with rotating weekends and Holidays

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities

• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse

• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Experience with MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

The Specimen Processor will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.
