Job summary

Labcorp in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Specimen Processing Team Lead to supervise the day-to-day operations, guide the team in processes, and ensure proper preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis. The ideal candidate will lead with strong communication, ensure quality, and drive improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (Associates preferred), 3+ years in lab or production, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the Department Name department
• Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas
• Encourage process improvements and best practices
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Resolve any production errors as requested by management
• Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures
• Perform administrative duties as needed

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processing Team Lead to join our team in Baltimore, MD. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 4:30pm to 1:00am. Rotating Weekends.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the Department Name department
• Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 3 years or more experience in lab, accessioning, data entry or production.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree
• 2 years or more experience working in a clinical laboratory
• 2 years or more experience as a people leader

Job Additional Standards

• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Compensation

Pay Range: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
