Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Specimen Processing Supervisor in Chantilly, VA for a Sunday–Thursday shift (1:00 PM–9:30 PM). You will oversee daily operations in Specimen Processing, lead a team, and ensure compliance with SOPs and safety guidelines.

The role includes training, scheduling, and process improvement in a fast-paced lab environment. Internal candidates need at least two years in a Group Leader/related role; a bachelor’s degree is not required but an Associate’s is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years in a Group Leader/related role.
  • 5 years experience in a laboratory; medical or production background preferred.
  • Previous people leadership experience preferred.
  • Associates Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Specimen Processing department.
  • Develop and implement SOPs for Specimen Processing.
  • Ensure compliance training and safety.
  • Monitor department productivity and quality.
  • Manage scheduling and staffing.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost containment.
