Precision Diagnostics in Shelton, CT is seeking a Part-Time Specimen Collector to join our clinical lab team. The role involves collecting and handling specimens, verifying patient information, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant data procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule includes Thursdays 9am–3pm, plus every other Tuesday 9am–3pm and one Friday per month (7–8 days per month). The job pays $21.00 per hour with strict adherence to SOPs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance if using personal vehicle for work-related activities.
• Successful completion of a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
• Successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Follow client-specific SOPs and company protocols.
• Verify and document patient demographics, identification, and insurance info.
• Collect, process, label, package, and ship laboratory specimens per procedures.
• Ensure specimen integrity via proper handling, storage, and transport.
• Enter orders and maintain accurate specimen and patient documentation.
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and all healthcare regulations.
• Provide professional, compassionate support to patients during collection.
• Maintain accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
• Monitor supplies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff, healthcare providers, and clients.
