Job summary

Millennium Health LLC is seeking a part-time Male Specimen Collector in Spokane, WA to collect urine or oral fluid samples and coordinate with the laboratory. The schedule includes Monday–Wednesday 2:00 pm–6:00 pm and Thursday 12:00 pm–5:00 pm, with driving between facilities as needed.

The ideal candidate has 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in medical support, strong customer service, and the ability to use a smartphone and computer.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in medical field, directly supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can supplement medical experience.
• Must navigate a smartphone and computer proficiently.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA/compliance, confidentiality and security policies is essential.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; physical requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice and laboratory.
• Record patient information, orders, and lab data.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens when applicable.
• Travel between facilities may be required.

Part Time Male Specimen Collector

Location: Spokane, WA

Schedule: Part-Time | Monday‑Wednesday 2:00 pm‑6:00 pm, Thursday 12:00 pm‑5:00 pm

Seeking: Male candidates required for observed collections of gender‑identified male patients.

Millennium Health LLC is an accredited specialty laboratory with more than a decade of experience in medication monitoring and drug testing services, helping clinicians monitor use of prescription medications and illicit drugs supporting improved clinical decision‑making as part of treatment for millions of Americans with chronic pain, mental illness, and substance use disorders.

The Specimen Collector is a key role at Millennium Health. As our representative, this position provides exemplary care and exceptional customer service to patients, clinicians, and our laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as an intermediary between the practice/clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable).
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.

Ideal Candidate

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field, directly supporting patients preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience.
• Must be able to navigate a smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Knowledge of medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes is a plus.
• Must ensure HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality and compliance policy, procedures, and standards are always adhered to.
• Must ensure administrative, physical and technical cyber‑security controls are always adhered to.
• Must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lb.

Salary

• Salary Range: $18–21.75 /hr.
