Job summary

Cordant Health Solutions in Rockford, IL seeks a self-motivated Specimen Collections Technician for its Field Operations team. You will perform drug screen collections (urine, saliva, hair) per contractual requirements while ensuring proper chain-of-custody documentation and timely processing.

The role requires HS diploma, customer-facing experience, and ability to observe collections with discretion. Shift is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm; a FEMALE participant observation requirement applies.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED, required.
• 1+ year of customer-facing experience.
• Healthcare or related field preferred.
• Ability to observe collections and collect specimens.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Collect, log, order, process, and ship urine, oral, and/or hair specimens to the laboratory.
• Maintain organization of the collection site.
• File requisitions, chain of custody forms, and paperwork.
• Collect and scan insurance documents as applicable.
• Order supplies and maintain inventory at the location.
• Communicate client inquiries to Manager or Client Services.
• All other duties as assigned.
