SCRAM Systems is seeking a Specimen Collection and EM Technician (Biologically Female) in Tippecanoe, IN. The role involves collecting specimens, maintaining chain-of-custody, and operating electronic monitoring equipment, with emphasis on privacy and compliant procedures.

Responsibilities

• Specimen Collection: Collect urine, breath, hair, or saliva samples following exact protocols.
• Chain-of-Custody: Maintain secure documentation and handling for defensible samples.
• Donor Care: Greet donors, verify ID, explain steps and answer questions professionally.
• Install and remove electronic monitoring equipment; monitor daily reports; record notes in EOM system; distribute alerts.
• Site Management: Keep collection area clean, secure, stocked, inspection-ready.
• Administrative Tasks: Enter data, manage appointments, answer phones, package samples.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Required Qualification: This position requires a FEMALE specimen collector due to the privacy-sensitive nature of directly observed drug testing. The successful candidate must be able to conduct same-sex observed collections in accordance with applicable testing protocols and legal requirements.

Job Summary: OurSpeciman Collection and EM Technician safely collects, labels, and processes biological specimens—such as urine, oral fluid/saliva, hair, nail, and breath alcohol—while maintaining strict chain-of-custody compliance.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Specimen Collection: Collect urine, breath, hair, or saliva samples following exact federal or company protocols.
• Chain-of-Custody: Maintain secure documentation and handling so samples remain untampered with and legally defensible.
• Donor Care: Greet donors, verify identification, explain the collection steps, and answer questions professionally.
• Installs and removes electronic monitoring equipment designed for detecting GPS location and alcohol consumption; monitors daily reports associated with electronic monitoring equipment usage; records notes in the offender management system and distributes alert information to authorities; cleans and maintains electronic monitoring devices.
• Site Management: Keep the collection area clean, secure, fully stocked, and inspection-ready.
• Administrative Tasks: Enter data, manage appointments, answer phones, and package samples for laboratory shipping.
• Other duties as assigned
