Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Specialty Technician II to join the GI Endoscopy team in Los Angeles. You will provide technical support for patient procedures under RN supervision, help ensure safe, efficient operation of the GI Lab, and assist with scope reprocessing.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, at least one year of endoscopy-related experience, and BLS/BCLS certification on hire; Surgical Technologist credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
• Experience: Minimum one year of equivalent on-the-job training assisting with general endoscopic procedures.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) required upon hire; Certified Surgical Technologist is preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with GI procedures under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Support scope reprocessing activities to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain equipment readiness for GI endoscopy cases.
• Collaborate with endoscopists, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other team members.

About the GI Lab

The Specialty Technician II is an integral member of the GI Endoscopy team, providing technical support for patient procedures while helping ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the GI Lab. Working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, this position assists with GI procedures, supports scope reprocessing activities, maintains equipment readiness, and collaborates with endoscopists, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
