Job summary

Community Memorial Health System is seeking a Surgical Technician to work directly with the surgeon and circulating nurse, maintaining a sterile field and assisting in delivering effective surgical intervention. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, SST II experience in the OR, a current BLS certification, and strong basic computer skills.

PRN and varied shift opportunities may apply as part of OR staffing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from surgical technologist program or 1 year of acute care hospital experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• SST II: Two (2) years surgery technician experience in the Operating Room environment.
• SST II: Scrub majority of service-lines independently.
• SST II: Ability to precept others and is recognized as a resource for other staff.
• National certification (preferred).

Job description

Salary Range: $29.76 - $44.05 per hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.
