YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta invites applications for a Sports Specialty Instructor to deliver sport-specific instruction and skill development for youth and members. You will teach fundamentals, rules, stances, grips, movements, and techniques while helping beginners and experienced athletes sharpen their skills.

Under the direction of the Sports Director(s), the Sports Specialty Instructor is responsible for implementing sport specific training and skill development. The Sports Specialty instructor demonstrates and explains the skills and rules of sports to individuals or groups. They help beginners learn basic rules, stances, grips, movements, and techniques of a game and helps experienced athletes to sharpen their skills.
This position must perform duties in accordance with the policies, goals, mission, values, and objectives established by the Metropolitan Atlanta YMCA, Branch Strategic Plan, Safety Protocols, and Member Services Guidelines and Non-negotiables. Emphasis will be placed on member service, program knowledge, member/staff safety, and communication with members and staff.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; run; sit; handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
