The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Sports Specialty Instructor to join the Robert D. Fowler Family YMCA and deliver sport-specific training to members.
You will teach beginners, help experienced athletes sharpen skills, and uphold safety, program guidelines, and high service standards.
Requirements: 21+, a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years coaching, current sport certifications, and the ability to pass a background check and CPR/First Aid if required.

Under the direction of the Sports Director(s), the Sports Specialty Instructor is responsible for implementing sport specific training and skill development. The Sports Specialty instructor demonstrates and explains the skills and rules of sports to individuals or groups. They help beginners learn basic rules, stances, grips, movements, and techniques of a game and helps experienced athletes to sharpen their skills. This position must perform duties in accordance with the policies, goals, mission, values, and objectives established by the Metropolitan Atlanta YMCA, Branch Strategic Plan, Safety Protocols, and Member Services Guidelines and Non-negotiables. Emphasis will be placed on member service, program knowledge, member/staff safety, and communication with members and staff.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; run; sit; handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl\.; The employee must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
