Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT seeks a Specialty Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead a multidisciplinary team focused on Supply Chain Risk Management for the Sentinel System Security Engineering program.

The role involves developing and executing a comprehensive SCRM plan, flowing down NIST SP 800-161 requirements to suppliers, validating components, and reporting risk posture in reviews while collaborating with SSE, Procurement, and Program leadership.

Qualifications

• US citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance
• 8+ years related experience in STEM field
• 1+ year of CAM/WPL or equivalent
• 1+ year of program/project management experience
• Ability to obtain TS clearance with SCI
• Experience with structured risk management (identification, analysis, mitigation, monitoring)
• Experience with supply chain security (NIST SP 800-161) and defense environments
• Experience collaborating with suppliers, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute a holistic SCRM plan across the program lifecycle
• Identify, assess, track, and report supply chain risks; integrate into the System Risk Management Plan
• Flow down SCRM and NIST SP 800-161 requirements to suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors
• Establish processes to validate suppliers and authenticate components
• Define and oversee controls for secure shipping, storage, and handling
• Coordinate with SSE Threat Analysis and Mitigation for emerging threats
• Integrate DMSMS considerations into risk mitigation strategies
• Present risk posture in technical reviews and program protection activities
• Communicate complex technical issues to SSE team and management
• Manage SSE team task allocation and provide technical oversight
• Allocate resources to meet time, cost, and schedule
• Ability to rapidly reprioritize tasks per leadership signals
• Collaborate with FHR and Sentinel Program leadership for status and milestones
• Establish standardized SSE processes with FHR
• Conduct Earned Value Management for SSE cost accounts with CAM
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of System Security Engineers
• Plan SSE & SCRM scope, staffing, and budgets with program mgmt
• Establish SSE engineering practices, standards, and review processes
• Support customer reviews with SCRM content and rationale
• Coach and motivate team members for high performance
• Support staffing activities and hiring processes
