A Style Consultant focuses on strong operations and an incredible guest experience with in-store presentations that enable quick and easy self-discovery.

At Target, we believe in meaningful experiences that help team members build and develop skills for a career. The role of a Style Consultant provides foundational skills and experiences in guest service, retail fundamentals, industry trends, and floor set/merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings to assist guests.
• Use store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and to support guest needs.
• Sort freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom as needed by the business.
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floor by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Maintain backroom organization to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as items sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price change processes through clearance merchandising and signing execution.
• Maintain and use the fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by moving merchandise from fitting rooms and guest service back to the sales floor throughout the day.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and follow safety policies and training; report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive-up (DU) while ensuring compliance with laws (e.g., adult beverage laws).
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with needs; thank guests for shopping at Target.
• All other duties as required by business needs.

Additional Basics

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders and move merchandise safely, including often lifting up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds with assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required.
• Work in varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout.
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
